Cosmic Power: Braun Wins Silver Slugger Again

For the fifth-straight year, Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun has won the Silver Slugger Award.  Braun, 28, crushed the ball in 2012 to the tune of a .319 batting average, 191 hits (including 36 doubles, three triples and 41 homers), a .987 OPS and 112 RBI.  This production from Braun was a welcome sight for Brewers fans who hoped he’d be able to replicate his typical brawny production from years past after a turbulent offseason.  Let’s make it six straight years in 2013, Ryan!  Congrats to Braun; he had an amazing year and deserves other awards too, but it’s nice to see him score this one.
