The Tank…

Well, I was waiting for a home run to fall in the Rays tank of…rays…at Tropicana Field, but, I’ll settle for this as an excuse to put up an old comic back when I used a terrible font for comics and when my drawing skills were questionable*

*and, still up for debate. There are just very few team illustrators on blogs, so, it’s like being a big fish in a small, diluted pond.

Although it was technically a ground-rule double hit by Davis, at least something went into that tank. (2012-J. Lemont)

Also, if you watched today’s broadcast, it was pretty funny watching the baseball slowly sink, with the camera eventually zooming in on a ray planted right over the ball.

I was thinking “is my comic maybe going to play out??” and, unfortunately, it didn’t. Bahhh. My apologies to Rays fans for making the Trop so ugly. It isn’t as ugly as people say it is. I love the entrance to the place. Maybe just not the clowns on the unicycles and all of that. Just the entrance.

About Jess Lemont

Jess is mostly an illustrator, here, providing occasional theme music. As her profile picture would indicate, she does not (or, may not) have a the skill required for flipping bats, so a drawing has replaced it. Really, you could also think of her as the photographer without a camera, in that regard. And, really...maybe it's best not to ask beyond this point.
